    • About 4-5 significant overflows happen each year threatening creek wildlife and water quality.

  • In 1999 a study detected acetaminophen (pain killer and antinflammatory) in Bay samples. It is anticipated that if similar studies were performed similar concentrations of other pharmaceuticals would be found. Some of the pharmaceuticals detected in these waterways are known to cause sex alteration in fish, abnormal behavior and thyroid function, decreased fertility and growth.
