service area.
- 50% of these have FOG (Fats, Oils and Grease) as a major contributing
factor.
- Fortunately most of these don’t reach creeks, but the opportunity
to do so always exists.

- In 1999 a study detected acetaminophen (pain killer and antinflammatory)
in Bay samples. It is anticipated that if similar studies were performed
similar concentrations of other pharmaceuticals would be found. Some
of the pharmaceuticals detected in these waterways are known to cause
sex alteration in fish, abnormal behavior and thyroid function, decreased
fertility and growth.
